PayPal VS Stripe: Which Online Payment Processor Is Best For Your Business?

PayPal ( and Stripe ( are both giants in online commerce, despite radically different approaches.

You’re probably familiar with PayPal, but Stripe isn’t yet a household name, despite processing payments for some of the world’s biggest brands. If you’re looking for an online payment processor, both of these companies should be on your shortlist. We’ll break down the key differences between them so you can find the right option for your business.

We have reviewed the original 2019 video, and here are the updates for 2020:

1:52’_Tool: PayPal Checkout is a developer-friendly option to add PayPal to a website where you’re already accepting credit card payments through another provider. With Stripe, you can build payments into a POS app of your own with Stripe Terminal, but there’s no ready-made mPOS solution.
9:00’_User reviews: generally speaking, Stripe seems to be a bit nicer about terminating merchants. Gives warning & recommends another processor. PayPal just shuts you out.

Thank you for participating in our 2019 poll. 50% of your votes went to PayPal and 50% went to Stripe.
